Who has had good experience with these guys. I have had lots over the yrs and I have found them to be not worth the money, also not mention, my current emerald was just caught eating some copper colored zoo's. I have seen one destroy yellow polyps and button polyps before also.  >:(.

Once I catch the one I have it will be the last one. :(

Wooki

I have had two for 8 months that I got at AquaValley.  Never any problems and never had them eat or pick at any corals.   That being said, they are small and not full grown.   When I had algae, they didn't consume very much of that, although I always saw them picking at it.  I had a few bubble algaes that came with some live rock.  That disappeared, so they may have done something with those as they are reported to eat bubble algae.  However, I never saw them or anything else eat it.

My only problem with them is they are shy and only come out at night. Thus, I would like to see them more.

Now to catch him I need a mantis on a string ;D.

He is very small about the size of a dime across his shell.

Greatewhite

I have 3 emeralds in my tank, and love looking for them in the liverock and watching them scuttle around after food at feeding time.  I don't keep any coral, so any tendency for them to nip and things is not a concern I have. :)  They sure are good at finding hiding spots though!!!
