Computer problem again

Last nght my internet was acting up, no more videos, pictures were on and off, i coudnt go to soem sites etc

I removed flash player, divx, k-lite
and reinstalled them all, it worked, but now i have no sound

my mute is okay, my computer is plugged properly...

i tried headphones, still no good

k-lite had a mix up with windows classic, i removed classic and now im fine

Sorry, but you can't get the same control out of a console as a computer.  I am into First Person Shooters (Counter Strike mainly) and there is no way I would be as good as what I am on the PC compared to a console.  Your reaction times are soo much better on the PC with a Keyboard and mouse.

I use a PS3 for streaming movies from my PC.  Thats about all its worth to me

No arguments...  But you don't go up against mixed hardware... So it's not unfair, it's not possible for K&M vs Controller... 

Chasing the video card's is just tooooooo expensive...  Every 6months somethings new and every year there's a new game that cannot be plaid on max settings without a $1000 video card upgrade... 

Of course, downloading games is not so easy on consoles...

Surprisingly I have had an 8800GT for a while now and it suites me fine.  CSS isn't a very demanding game however.  I do play SC2 and its a little more taxing.  But then again my system is over 5 years old now.  I used to upgrade every 6 months but I grow out of that phase.. haha

C if you can get 8800GTX that should do you good for a while. I have 1 8800GTX and it still do me wonder with games and everything else and i have this card for 3yrs now. Though at that time it was an arm and a leg for this card but i'm sure it is pretty cheap right now.

i'll agree with hookup here, things are changing way to fast and games keep up with the latest and greatest in hardware. I've got 2 5870's setup in crossfire and the new games are already lagging these cards!

The resolutions we play games at now a days is whats killing the performance.  1920x1200 on Dual Screens.. or more...

But I don't see me buying a new video card any time soon.  Its honestly my processor thats holding me back right now.  Plus I haven't formatted my computer in about 2 years which is a record for me!  I am usually every few months.  Too busy to care lately.
