Looks like it is a Conservative majority government. The Liberals took a kicking by the NDP and especially in Quebec. Conservatives - 166, NDP - 103, Liberals - 31, BQ - 4 and just 4 polls remaining to report. Pretty historic that is for sure.

Ignatieff is dumber then a stump to push this election, he took 8 steps backwards and it looks good on him.  Not sure if this will work out well or not, but anything is better then him being incharge.

Nothing could be legally released until after 9pm EST. That was the first time results started to come in.

Looks like Ignatieff will loss his seat. if that happens how can he remain as leader of the party? I thought you have to hold a seat to be leader of a party? BC losses enough seats to loss party status and Ducett lost his seat to the NDP. They are pretty much done you'd have to think? Ignatieff should go back to the US and try running against Obama... LMAO what a stupid move and waste of money by this joke of a leader. Geese even the Greens won their leaders seat.

He would have to run and win in a by-election where a confirmed and elected liberal mp In a party stronghold would give up his/her seat in order for him to be elected.  Based on the results of the election, and the loss of party status I would say the liberals are going to be trying to figure out how to rebuild over the next 4 years and I don't think ignatieff will play any type of role in that process.
