catfish filteration requirements

I have a spotted rapheal catfish in my 75g cichlid tank. The poor guy gets beat up alot. I have an empty 90g. how much filteration if any do you think i will need to put 1 6" catfish in there? are they social fish? I'm hoping someone can help me!

catfish are very social fish! and you'll need a lot of filtration if you have more ! I always over filter with my catfish because they tend to eat a LOT!  and regular filtration for a 90g with one, but if you're planning on adding other things, I suggest you plan for that instead of having to get another filter later on.
