yes i am back from the great north(ish).  North of North Bay actually.

It was a successful hunt this year and I was the lucky one out of the group of 10 of us.  Good times.

The tank is none worse for wear, somethings colored up, others down.  Definitely some maintenance to catch-up on after 8 days away.

For those interested, it was a 10point atypical bull moose, about 5.5 years old and about 1200lbs on the hoof.  He came down at about 8:30am looking for love in answer to my cow calling.

It is not an easy thing for me to shoot an animal.  This time it was very hard on me, but it's part of the respect that goes into knowing the process of life.
