hey you guys
im due for changing all my fluorescent tubes and the ones they sell at pet shops are pretty expensive. a while ago i read a post about a brand of tubes we can use that has the same spectrum and all.i think it was phillips daylight or somethin. could you guys refresh my memory?they need to be good wiith plants.thanks

darkdep

I second that.  I'm using 6 of them now on my 90gal, and they rock.

Iceman

One thought here. Which size are we talking about? T8, T12?
I don't think those Daylight Deluxe tubes come in the T8 size.

darkdep

Yes, they do.  But, in the T8 size they only come in 18" and 48".  I'm using the T8 48" ones myself.

Iceman

Okay, that's why I never buy them. I need 24" 20 watt tubes. Need to switch my canopy to T12.

darkdep

I'm convinced that the only size of light that isn't a hassle is 48" :D

Mila

Try Marchants, cheeper then HD and much more to choose from.

BigDaddy

Buchanan has 2 foot 6500K bulbs for 4.25 a piece.
