Hi,

I got 2 of these guys @ 5 " from a local sale - They are lovely additions to the tank but I want to know more about them.

Tropheus moorii kaiser

You want to get some more. :)

The lady only had 2 - believed to be both males, which sucks.

I've seen these at La Niche. Always wanted to set up a
tank for them but never did.
Not sure though if you'd be able to get adults
there, all I ever saw were juvies.
Beautiful fish by the way.

They are the most active fish in the tank. I am quite please but this is probably due to them both being males and look distinctly different than all other cichlids in the tank.

You definitely want more of these.  I had two Tropheus Moliro (both males) and it was constant fighting between them.

If you want to get more information on the keeping of Tropheus cichlids, have a look at Klaus Steinhaus' webpage:

http://www.buntbarsch.ca/index.htm

He is an avid keeper of this species and may provide much insight. Klaus is with the Durham Region Aquarium Society, and I believe has presented at one of our OVAS meetings in the past.
