it would be ok, i think, in terms of "space required" for the fish not to be too aggressive...

I would go with that stocking but not much more.

Oh and a covered top for the tank for the firefish and wrasse.

I think you'd be just fine as long as you're doing your regular weekly water changes. You bio load should support that. How many corals do you plan to have though? How much live rock do you have?
