Can we report people?

There was a report button before, but now there seems to not be. With all these people not following classifieds rules is there a way to inform the mods, or so we just leave it up to them to catch this stuff?

bitterman is the mod for the classifieds.  If you send him a kindly worded PM about the offending party, he can fix it or let you know why it has been allowed to stay.

As of Sept. 1st, however, non-members will no longer be permitted to use the classifieds.

Look at the bottom right corner of any post, it has a link called "Report to moderator" - classified or not...

I normally just shoot the lister a pm, and let them know what is wrong about the ad
sometimes it works, others meh

Ya I have done a PM to the listing person this time and before, but other than delete their listing which they don't want to do they can't do anything. Only a mod can put the old further down the page listing back on. Also (ajm1961), there is a report to mod link everywhere else except for the classifieds unfortunately.

A person who posts an ad can edit or remove and existing ad they have created.

The report function for the classified section no longer exists.

Moderating the Classified section is a huge job especially since there is only one person that does most of the moderation. It is very time consuming. Lots of checking, comparing posts and looking at deleted posts.

Can't we all just get along??

Not sure if this is just a joke or tongue and cheek. Or if you are suggesting that reporting people is some kind of "tattling". My opinion is that having people abide by the rules is how we get along. If someone follows the rules and gets their post pushed way down the list by others not following the rules that is not going to make friendly relationships. Following these logical rules that create fairness is the way you respect other hobbyists.
