I guess I should introduce myself.

I've been keeping fish since I was 8 or so.  Didn't have much luck as a kid with keeping fish living long.  Took a break in my teen years and got back into the hobby when I was 18-19.  At that point I still didn't know much about keeping fish but all of a sudden my fish didn't die after a few weeks/months.  I had a reg and albino pleco and a sailfin pleco that all grew to a foot long, had a ID Shark that was about 8 inches.  They all started in a 30g then I purchased a 75g off a friends dad.  Somehow the ID shark jumped out a my tank through a hole that was half it's size.  At that point I wanted to get these 3 plecos to a better home so I spoke with SuperPet before they became PetSmart and they found someone with a 150g tank that would take the plecos off me and I was happy with that.  I never met the person and I believe they were upgrading to a 300g tank, so if that seems familiar to anyone here well you probably have my plecos if they are still alive.

I had always wanted Discus but was scared of the price tag and the difficulty level perceived with Discus so I decided since Angels were much cheaper and had a perceived high difficulty level that I would start with them.  I started with 5, had a pair within a few months that tried to spawn in the 75g.  I didn't want to breed them so I just left them in there and they tried to spawn two more times but would just eat the eggs.  Anyways a couple died after a year or so and the other 3 lived for a fairly long time.  The last one just died over the summer and he was pushing 7 years old.

Now I finally started my discus tank.  Purchased 5 Powder Blue Diamond juvis that are growing out in a 150g I recently purchased from a coworker.

I still run my 75g as well which houses 1 Angel(rescued from neighbours tank that kept having filter failures), two guaramis(both rescues, 1 from the neighbour and another from my coworker that sold me the 150g, he had piranhas in his tank and he was trying to rescue this fish from his friend and knew that it wouldn't survive in his tank.)  2 feeder goldfish that I purchased to help cycle the tank after a teardown/rebuild/house painting adventure, and since they survived I'm not just going to toss them out.  My uncle has a pond and in the spring they are going in that pond.  6 Corys out 10 that were purchased about 6-7 years ago(wish I kept my receipts.)  Also trying to grow java fern in this tank attached to driftwood.

I have 20g with a African dwarf frog, and two mollies, 1 baby and one overweight adult(daugher lost interest so I took over).  This tank is poorly planted with a nice Amazon Sword, african fern on driftwood and two other plants I don't know the names.

Then I have a 30g tank that is running with nothing in it but the plan is to have it as a breeding tank for my discus once they pair off.

3 10g tanks doing nothing right now.

And I think that's it for now.

I'm actually interested in doing this someday.  I like the look of all these shrimp I've seen lately.
