Hydor Canister Filters

My Fluval 406 no longer works properly.    I had a power outage last weekend and since then, it runs for a little awhile and then stops.  Before I jump on the Eheim bandwagon, anyone use a Hydor canister filter and do you like it?

I slapped on my backup AC500 so I'm in no rush.
