Hi all. I am going to be away from home for six weeks, and wonder what people do to look after their fish. It is too long to ask a friend to visit. Thanks, Greg.

It depends on how many fish you have and the type of care they need.

There are a few commercial companies in ottawa that typically do fish care, especially if you believe the difficulty of care is beyond friends or family abilities. If care is relatively simplistic a good friend or family member would be another choice. I usually make a video as well as written instructions for care requirements for the fish so that they could easily follow steps. Being able to be reached by phone in case of issues or confusion is a plus.
