today i went to superpet to buy some spiro tabs for my pleco.

I noticed a woman in the store talking to a salesperson.

"I want to put the fish in my tank right away", said the client.

"Then buy cycle" said the salesperson.  Cycle now recommends that you wait before adding the fish - but if you can't wait, just add twice the dosage."

She spent $20 on cycle, and probably alot more on fish (that will likely die within a few weeks)

Capitalism at its best.

yes thats unfortunate.  this is one of the reasons why OVAS exists....

most people don't listen to your warnings of impending doom anyways at stores, they want their fish the same day they buy their tank and anything you say they do not beleive.  I always tell people they should wait, but some people simply don't want to listen for whatever reason, so I recommend cycle..if their fish die, they will have learned a lesson

Wish we could get BioSpira up here, that would solve a lot of these types of problems.

we can get it up in Canada (lighthouse ships it but it costs like $100)
Filter sqeezin's are much cheaper;)
