they said my Fluval 404 is to strong for my 75gal planted tank... they told me to go with 2 small filters instead..

i don't want to tell my wife lol...

is this true?

maybe it time to make a spray bar out of pvc or something...

DARKPHREAK

Untrue. I had a 404 and a Magnum 350 on my 75. I found with only 1 filter there wasnt enough flow and there were dead spots in the tank. If its heavily planted like mine is you will need the extra flow from 2 filters to get the water moving around.

Marx

good.. cause i want to get another fluval.. maybe a 304 or 204..

Fluval 404 has a spray bar you can buy, I have one in my 50 gallon, works great..they are 14-17$ I think..they work on all the fluval sizes actually.

yellowtang

Hello there.
Instead of getting another fluval, which by the way will cost you
around $90 for a 204 and respectively.
You should get a set of power heads with filters. One on each
corner of the tank. Nor only you will get enough currents through
out your tank, but your water would look cristal clear.
your chemical levels will also decrease.  8)

orry to say, that lfs employee is fulla bunk.

You need another filter IN ADDITION to the 404 in a tank that size.

Marx

will use one of my power heads then.. i got a maxi-jet 900here at home..  might aswell use it lol..

Marx

won't to much current move plants all over???

ambushman2j

I wish I had used a fluval 404 on my 77 instead of these 2 peice of crap smaller ones
