Hey all. I figured that because tis isn't specific to the fishies, it shouldn't be in the classifieds. Moderators, if I am incorrect, I apologize.

Looking for anyone that might have some extra 1.5" ABS tubing that you are looking at getting rid of. (I know I can buy it from any hardware shop, but thought I might help clean out someone's basement / garage).

Also, does anyone know where I can buy 1.5"X1.5"X1.5" "T" pipes for the ABS? (NOT Sanitation T-pipes; sanitation T pipes have a directional slope to one side. the ones I am looking for do not have any such slope). I need about 10 of them. The local hardware shop here only carries the sanitation T pipes, unless you get into 4" or larger ABS.

TIA

If this is for a fish project, you don't want ABS.  You want PVC.

ABS will leech undesirable compounds into the water column over time.  That's why you won't find potable water systems using ABS for the supply, only for drainage.

Thanks BD.

This'll be for an overflow construction (based on pic at http://www.nd.edu/~lego/grp2/www/reef/diy/overflow_1024.jpg)

In this case, would ABS be correct, or would I still need PVC? (I assumed ABS was okay, based on the thread here:
