I've never used this, but people on www.cyphos.ccom seam to like the design  and use it.

Thanks for this Bruce!  I picked up my strainers from the dollar store and am gonna give this a shot with my next holding female, jut to see how well it works.

No problem. I kept it in my memory banks for when my Frontosa start breeding in a couple of years. Its used a lot for frontosa since the eggs are larger and traditional tumbles won't hold a whole broad, aas they can hit peaks of 80--100 eggs. You need a very fine airstone, and just enough air to get the eggs slowly  moving, too much movement and the eggs will bruise and die.

The nice thing about this system is you can have you fry in the same tank as the tumbler for the initial growing stages (Older fry can suck the eggs out of the tumbler when they get older so be carefull).
