I was wondering if i can keep alot of different types of Apistogrammas??

in a 75gal planted tank with wood and rocks??

or will they fight all the time??

Thank you!!

I have a. panduros in my 75 gallon.

You could have two trios (1m/2f) of a single species to start and go from there.  You could have additionally species... but you would have to be very careful with aggression and the possibility of cross-breeding.  If you've never kept apistos before, stick to a single species and a hardy one at that like the cockatoos.

BTW, your low pH will be awesome for the apistos.  If you start adding limestone or crushed coral, they won't be happy as they like low pH and low TDS

yeah thats why i was going to go that way lol..

but i heard cockatoos cost big $$$

zapisto

i will not recommend mix species for a beginer to apisto.
as bigdaddy say , i will go to cacatuoides.

cacatuoides is the most present apisto on the market.
i think it is the less expansive also.

Most readily available apistos would probably cost between 10-20 per individual if you buy at Big Al's, Super Pet, etc...

Cacatuoides are actually less expensive than some of the more interesting apistos out there... but yeah, it's not like you are buying neons 3 @ $5

big als rarely carries them i asked today.. The one on innes rd..

I got my panduros from Big Al's on Innes.

Super Pet will special order them for you.  I think it takes them about a week or two to get them in.  Of course, it'll cost you a bit more.

If I'm not mistaken, a pair of apisto. caca. will run you around $35 thru Super Pet.
