Just picked up a 44 gallon hex tank that needs new silicone. What is the best to use and where should I buy it? Any certain way to do it or just remove the old silicone and redo it as you would when caulking anything else? Any help would be appreciated.

GE silicone changes color from transparent into blue. So, prefer black.
Also used Canadian Tire silicone - no problem, everybody still alive
