Tank Setup

Hi Everyone,

I have recently moved back to Ottawa from a posting overseas and I am in the process of setting up 2 aquariums, one 55 gal and one 29 gal.  The 29 gal is new and the 55 gal was in use before I moved overseas a few years ago.  In it I had a pleco, a blue crayfish, 6 tiger barbs, a pictus catfish and 6 cherry barbs.  

I am looking for advice on what fish I should stock these 2 aquariums with.  I haven't decided if I want 2 community tanks yet(I want at least one) just looking for any and all suggestions!  I am not particularly interested in tetras or livebearers.

Also if I am free I am thinking of attending the meeting on the 27th.  Is there a specific topic that will be discussed?  Might I suggest stocking fish in a new aquarium!   :lol:

Well, I think the 55 would make a beautiful community tank  (I say this as I have one lol), but you can do alot with it! I have an 80 full of discus, the 55g of community, a fry growout tank and then my malawi tank.

In my community it's mostly common, popular fish; angels, cories, neons/other tetras, a pleco, a few clown loaches, some sowrds and guppies, and 2 rainbows.
