Is the background really that dark.. I like it, what is it?

Yes I want a digital SLR too, the minolta is coming out in Nov.  It is supposed to have the anti shake built in.   It  will be more in the beginning than I want to spend.   I want that one because I have a couple lenses and a flash already.

The Nikon entry level is nice too though.

All my Bristlenose plecos came from Super Pet (Barrhaven) the rest of my fish are ordered and from breeders.

Yup, I love the background, it's actually Krylon paint and looks amazing and you don't have to fight with a useless plastic background .

Yah I am tossed up between the Canon 300D and the Nikon D70, may end up picking one up next week when I am in San Diego.

That yellow fish in the 55 gallon is an Aulonocara Baenschi, I would put him at show quality.  Amazing fish!
