I noted on here that someone highley recommended the Hot Magnum to "polish" tank water and remove cloudy conditions. I bought one to use on my 32 gallon tanks but it does not help at all! after 3 days on 1 I checked the micron filter and it was still in "new" condition, no build up etc. and no change in water.

I currently have 3 Magnum 350 delux and pro systems for use on larger tanks, in fact I was having cloudy water problems on my son's 300 gallon pond, put one on and in less than 3 days water was crystal clear (mind you I had to change micron filter twice).

Any ideas/suggestions?

It depends on what type of cloudy water you have.

If it is white cloudy water... that's a bacteria bloom... no filtration will remedy that.  You have to wait for the bacteria to settle.

If it is a green cloudy bloom, then you have the start of green water.  The micron cartridge is really only effective against green water if you charge it with diatom powder.

Since you say the cartridge is relatively clean.. that would let me to believe that you have a bacterial bloom, not an algae bloom.

And, for the record, water polishing is the removal of PARTICULATE matter from the water column... which all of the Magnums are highly effective at.  Green water is unicellular algae... which requires the more extreme filtration provided by a diatom filter.
