I saw the funniest thing at jetstream's tanks, he puts a plant weight through the edge of the food, and throws it in, and has the weight tied to monofilament and the other end is available at the top of the tank. This way, the clever fellow can change the zucchini without ever having to stick his arms in the tank and get wet. Clever. ;)

Is he a warlok and worried the water will melt him  ;D

thats a good idea, i used to tie fish line to my crab traps cause i noticed the food would disapear by the next morning, so i waited for the crab to enter the trap and yanked it out using the fish line....i use weights for my zuchini also, but im gonna use some fish line next time cause finding the weight is sometimes a challenge after the plecos get a hold of the zuchini,  :)

I am worrying the Carbonic acid from the CO2 will melt my hand off!  :)

You're so cute jetstream, I really must come and stare at your plants for a time.

That is also funny about the hand melting off, very serious consequences to be sure about the danger of using CO2 in water. :D To think I used to hold my breath and stick my head in my deeper tanks of old. Carbonic acid is scary, look babble with no head, oh my! ;D
