Heya all..

I bought a wonderful 65gal tank/stand  today.. its got water stains and green algae stuck on glass.. is there an easy way to clean it without scuffing the glass..

I've started with my Algae scrapper.. but semms to leave behind a stain were the algae was.. and i hate using the scrapper.. scares me lol...

Thanks all!!

Evan

I have used a credit card before, it worked quite well.

I also use a water/bleach solution, it seems to soften things up.

I don't know if this is "good" or not, but I've always cleaned empty tanks with one of those nylon kitchen scrubbies and salt.  Put a little water in the tank, some salt on a wet scrubby, and off you go.  Rinse well with water afterwards.  I usually try to do this in the backyard when possible, so I can use the hose and just tip the water out afterwards.

I just fill the dirty tank with water wait a few days. the stuff will get soft again and should be easy to remove with an aquarium scraper.
