I have a green terror in a 77 gallon tank, one pleco a pakistani loach and some small guys (not sure what they are exactly).

I want to get another cichlid, but I am not sure what kind I should get. I don't want to upset my guy too much by adding another cichlid into the tank.

Do any of you guys/girls have some suggestions for me. I trust the judgement of all members and non members here more than a store (good or bad, I don't know).

Here is a picture of my guy.

Thanks all.

Wow, nice fish!  I've successfully kept the following with green terrors in the past, but they've all been around the same size when they went in the tank, so there were a minimum of scuffles amongst them.

Green severum
gold severum
Jack Dempseys
Firemouth
Leporinus
pink tailed chalceus (a characin, yes, but big enough to hold their own as adults)
Texas cichlid
Blue acara

Good luck and I hope you find some suitable companions for your GT.

No Suggestions, Just wanted to comment on your excellent picture.. You have a nice tank aswell. How big is he ? are those live plants ? Very nice.

I would say he is roughly 6" I don't have live plants (yet) but I do plan on it.

Thanks for the compliments.

How is he with the other fish in the tank does he give them the odd chase around the tank  ????

I have 2  9 inch oscars in a  110 gallon long tank with a pleco an a 4 inch jack dempey an the oscars love to prove that they are the kings in my tank they chase all the other fish around an give them little knips every now an then

i think if ya add another tank mate for him make it another green terror of the oppisite sex since he has been in that tank long enough he thinks its all his territory an he won tlike it to much if ya add another fish unless it was of the oppisite sex

an if ya go ahead an add a diffrent spieces fo fish keep the lights off for a day or so an completly move all the decorations around so they have to establish new territories

I have some severums for sale they some are about 2" or more, the parents are in my 175 and are about 7 to 8" head to tail.

A pic is posted in the classified section.

not to stray off topic but how oh how did you get that picture soooo clear??? I've heard that the best way is to shut off all lights in the tank and room and use a flash.I'd think however that flooding the room with light everywhere might be better? Any suggestions?

You shoot in the dark to eliminate all unwanted reflections.
