Ok i come home work and there is about 200+ white eggs stuck my plants.  I have no idea  which fish they came from. littel tiny white eggs seem to be sticky because my only black molly has them stuck in his mouth. and on his tail.

fish list:
2 pleco's
2 sword tails
8 Neons
2 red eye tetra's
3 silver dolar tetras
2 chinese algea eaters
4 siemease algea eaters
2 clown loaches.

Step 2:
what do i do with these eggs and how do I take care of them?

dandaman

Ok, i am not too sure what they are from, but i know their not from the black molly or the sword tails.
They arent because they are livebearers and dont ley eggs.
good luck
80- 5 Tropheus Brichardi Malagarasi
55- Planted Communnity
35- Discus/Angel Community
10- Breeding tank

Rick

Any corydoras catfish in there?

dpatte

pleco's tend to guard their eggs, not scatter them
swordtails and moillies do not lay eggs, they are live bearers
8 Neons are very rarely bred in captivity -  do they look thinner?
2 red eye tetra's hmmmmm
3 silver dollar tetras hmmmmm
2 chinese algea eaters id be very surprised
4 siemease algea eaters id also be surprised
2 clown loaches - very rare or impossible to breed in captivity

Id guess the red-eyes

Syphon out the eggs,  and hatch them elsewhere
Arent mystery fry fun?

o ya I do have 2 of those cory.. fish
but 90% of the time they hide in the caves and rarely go up to the top of the tank where all the eggs were.

O well its to late now. Woke this morning, looks like the other fish had there caviar dinner/breakfast.  Next time I will have another tank setup for that.

dpatte

sounds like corrie eggs. they are fairly large and they often stick them to the plants or glass

Rick

About the corys;
Had you done a good water change the day before?
Often, when they are ready to lay eggs, they will mate after a  water change and having the temperature a tiny bit lower than what it was is also a stimulation for them to breed.

Tetra eggs are also usually sticky .

Anubias

Probably the red-eyed tetras unless the silver dollars are larger than 4.5  inches, in which case you probaly wouldn't have any plants left in the tank. I seen both spawn.
