Thinking about tearing down planted tank..

Heya all..

I'm thinking about tearing down planted tank.. and turning it into a Tropheus tank..

and was wondering do people buy plants? and equipment really quickly lol..

i have Co2 system with timers.. and 6 port manifold.. #5lbs canister.. tons of fertilizers..


also can i add crushed coral to existing substrat to pump ph to 8.0?? and do a 95% water change?

and will the tank stay cycled?

I'll take all your CO2 equipment Marx.

As well, you can sell the plants at the next OVAS auction, or here if you can list 'em all off.

As far as cycling goes, as long as you keep the media going, you won't have issues.  If you have to tear down, keep the media in a room temp moist environment and you can go a good couple of days without too much die off.

i think i can convert in one day.. just wondering if i can just mix crushed coral in with my regular small gravel substrate.. to pump ph way up aswell as tp pull all driftwood which i would add to another tank..

and bigdaddy when im ready to sell it i'll let you know..  I'm in no way gonna give it away =)

i would also need to get rid of my fish lol..

i could feed them to my new SA cichlid tank lol..

but would prefer to get rid of them..

i know my Dwarf cichlids would go first..

but tetras and stuff might not have a market lol..
