Gravel, substrate?

for my angel tank what sand or gravel or rock or whatever you call it should i use?

Well, I have an angel in my 40G, and I have just regular aquarium gravel in it. No concerns... but maybe it's different for tanks full of angels, especially if you have plants

I would think not depends on what other fish you are adding I guess and how planted you want it.

well it will be having some java fern, java moss, and maybe some swords.

The Java fern & moss wont require any substrate/gravel, the swords would do better in a enriched substrate.
