HOw fast should new molly grow?

I was wondering how fast should molly grow? I have some that are 8 weeks and they still are pretty small and don't seen to grow to fast.

I have them in a breading bet. could it be that the space is to small ands they can't grow? I have 14 in one and 6 in another one.

I had 6 mollies in a 29g, and they doubled in size in approx 3-4 weeks.. Then stopped growing completely.
Tank size may have something to do with their growth rate.
