8" Common Pleco Worth

How much is a large common pleco worth? it's aprox 8" or so

LFS may be 3 dollars post here maybe 10$

had a 18" rhino pleco got 14$ at LFS

I thought that the bigger the pleco is the more expencive it was. Thought I seen a 8" pleco @ 39.99 at a LFS :

they will sell at 39.99 but they will not give you much for it
i had a 12" arro that was attacking my bichirs this is 100$ dollar fish
wouldnt give me a dime fs got a free fish sold it 180 dollars

They are just....well to common.  So many people buy them and sooner or later they outgrow the tank and they need to find a home for them fast.

Common plecos are probably worth more when SMALL.
