Has anyone tried keeping these apistos??

BA Kanata got some in a month or two ago, and I took home a pair.... without really thinking about it. I soon found that there is very little information on them. It is beleived that they are a version of A. sp. Winkelfleck, but even still I can't find much in the line of pictures or info.

If you've kept these or have pictures, please let me know.

Hey Jay...

BA East has them as well... I was trying to identify them but couldn't.  They appear to be an offshoot of the atahualpas... definately by their size and shape they must be members of the cacatuoides complex

zapisto

cara pintada is a bad name for this fish

i pretty sure your fish is A. sp Masken
who is easy to breed and maintain.
PH around 6.5 soft water.
