Like Faerin, I use 4 stage RO (DI is 5th) for my Reef tank water changes and evaporation top-off.
After i tried distilled water from LOEB, and got a cyano bloom, replaced my cartridges and continue using RO/DI. No problems since then.

Using mix of RO/tap water for my planted freshwater tank.

I use 4 stage RO (no DI).  I also refill 18L jugs for our water cooler.

incidently the Shoppers water is RO and Ozone'd...

well water mixed up an hour or so before a change.

Only 4 gallon changes in a 40gal once or twice a month so its pretty simple.

Yep I have some pest algae but that gives the dwarf angel something to play with so it leaves my coral alone  :)

Two years with no death so far. And Yes I have a sps that grows quite well  8)

As Snigger pointed out already I use RO/DI water.
My unit has seven stages due to the volume of water that I produce. I have 2 1 micro filters. When the first filter gets dirty I move the second 1 micron filter up to the first spot and put the new unit in the second cartridge spot. Its a bit of a redundency but I do find the second one still takes a bit out.
I then have 2 good quality carbon cartidges.
Then one specialty carbon that is designed specifically for chloramine.
Then the RO menbrane.
Then a vertical DI cartridge as they are much better than the horizontal DI cartridges.

This poll should also have the option of RO/DI as a combination. I use RO/DI, as I know my water is rock hard, and I do get a decent amount of rust in it. I have 6 stages, soon to be 7.

In light of the clarity with which certain types of water were being described, the poll has been modified, please have a look and see if you would like to re-vote.

I use Culligan water in 5 gallon jugs. It's free so why not. I will be using RO/DI water once I go to a bigger tank and when I can afford the RO/DI system that I want to purchase.

culligan is RO anyways.

i selected distilled as I have been using that since day one, however, I recently purchased a RO/DI unit, so thats about to change.

Is all Culligan water RO?  It says spring water on the ones I saw at Crappy Tire, is it purified by RO afterwards then?
