I have a concern, atleast something I believe should be a concern
My tank looks to be leaking :o  but its from the top trim?

Is this something common? or can someone out there say that its merely a result of salt creep...
Its never dripping wet... just has 1" wet/salt residue along outside below the outer black trim.  No crack or anything, and its about 2" below the cover of my tank, so its not dripping from there.

Should I be replacing this tank??
I may need a new tank... grr  -anyone have a 20g ::)
(will there be 20's on sale next week at BA's?  can anyone guess a price?)

Thanks!

I don't think you have anything to worry about there.  I have a few tanks where the top trim is a bit loose, and some water (condensation mostly) gets underneath it and leaves some residue.

Relax...you're ok.  Your tank isn't leaking.

This is a capilliary action effect from water splashing the top trim on the inside...it's getting sucked up and over and it appears as a tiny drip or salt stain on the other side.  Very common, I see it often on my tanks.

Best "solution" is to take the trim off, and add some silicone to the affected area.

Yea I have problems with salt creep around the top of my tank too. It can get under the trim and crawl right over the glass. It can also climb up powercords and such. Pretty irritating stuff  >:(
