I was wondering if there is  somting also with a salinity drop to kill off ich?/HOw long does the drop take to kill the Ich?

It can take a few weeks (2-8) or more pending how bad the ick is.  I have a qt with a sg 1.012 approx, I also use either cupramine or coppersafe.  Just raise the sg really slowly when the fish is healthy like .001 per day.  Most fish can handle a quick drop in sg, but returning back to normal conditions take a while.  Usually after an ick'd fish is looking perfect I wait a few more weeks to be safe.  I have saved a few longhorns from bad cases of ick and these guys are worse than tangs, they are like ick kings !
