I want to lower the pressure in my spary bar

I have an Eheim Pro II and I'm using the Eheim spray bar. I find that it creates too powerful a flow...I can' t plant any tall plants infront of it or they get blown away. Anyone ever drilled larger holes or more holes into their sparybar to lower the pressure of the flow? Is this a bad idea?

Thanks,

Jeff

Take some sponges and cut holes in them then slip over your spray bar holes... clean reguarlly... (off the top of my head) Put a small hole or 2 in the hose just before the spray bar in the tank? Could always plug it with a piece if plastic to control flow. Put a couple holes in the back of the spray bar.

You can try lowering the flow by closing the control valve on the filter a bit, you might also find that the pressure might slow some since the install of the CO2 reactor

Take sponge insert from AC mini or 150 (old name). Make a "X" cut in the centre half way through. Take out the plug at the other end of the spray bar and put the sponge on it. This should fix the problem :)
