Hi,
I am going to be moving on Dec 1 and I have a planted aquarium with all the advice I have recieved here it is now doing really well and starting to thrive. Now I have to move Dec 1st and I would like some opinions on how I should handle my plants.... I know I will have to tear the tank down but I was wondering if anyone found a easy way to handle the plants while transporting.... the good news I am only going about 10 min away...

Thanks again for all your help
Randy

5 gal bucket with some tank water in it - a lid will help to stop it from splashing all over your car

Since you are not moving far try to make a dedicated move for the tank only. Tear it down, make sure you keep the plants moist all the time - without freezing them in the winter. Move the tank immediatly and set it up right away. As long as they are not cut off light for too long everything will be fine. The actual "deadline" depends on the plant, most are ok for a day or two, any longer and some will suffer, the demanding ones first. When you replant trim the roots a bit to encourage new growth and clean the plant from all bad leafs.
