Hey all,

I'm looking at artificially cycling my two FW tank in progress but cannot seem to find any pure ammonia anywhere. Ive tried the grocery store and hardware stores but to no avail. Can someone tell me where I can purchase some? Any brand names that are ok for fish cycling?

If you can't find it anywhere, you can go to the Fisher Scientific website and buy a 1000ppm standard solution.

It's $30, but, as a last resort it would work. Also, you would probably want to dilute it 1:100 or so, I think any more than 10ppm do some damage.

I got mine at home hardware.  I had been to like ten different places at least before finding it.

It's in the cleaning section and it'll help if you know what it looks like.
I must have walked past it a few times before the salesperson pointed it out.  duh!
