question about clowns

I have a mated pair of black clowns and ive been taking notice of there courtship and have a question about the behavior. Is the male the one that "vibrates" while giving a lateral display? and if so, since they are already a mated pair, is he/she showing the desire to spawn?

no he is just showing that hes the male and shes the boss.....they arent a mated pair if they havent spawned...until they start fanning an area and until she gets a little bloated thats when its time....how long have you had them?

Ive only had them for about a month, They seemed to be a pair at the store. I agree with you about the spawning/ not yet a maited pair, they just get along well. they have a territory under a few small rocks were they go at night, but have yet to prep it for eggs.
