Hello everyone.

I have has some live rock in my new tank for a few weeks now without any lights on.  One of the rocks i omitted to scrub and 2 corals and this white ooze seems to have survived.

The white spongy substance started growing toward the blue moonlights.  Can anyone identify the ooze and the corals in the pick?

Debating if I need to remove the spongy white stuff or not.

Cheers

The spongy white stuff looks like a sponge  ;D  Not a bad thing, usually a good indicator of a healthy tank.

all i know is that those yumas are completely insane and the sponge is evil you better give it to me with those yumas lol

maybe sycon sponge its hard to tell from that picture. is it like a mass of small fibers? or it just could be a simple sponge ball. none the less they are harmless filter feeders. then i see some neon green ricordia yumas.
