Hi,
I have a small nano tank.
I would like to thin out some of the mushrooms, they range from 1 to 5 in..
I was thinking of taking them to the garage sale.
What is the best way.  (I have bristle worms in my tank).
Can I scrap them off and throw them in a bag with salt water?
Or should I crazy glue them to a shell?
Any suggestions?

Vincenzo.

you cant just scrape them off, they will die prob from infection.
you need to cut them off at the foot.

Do you mean where they attach to the rock?

Vincenzo.

try and cut them just under the cap, but low to the rock as possible. doing it this way they will grow back and wont pollute your tank.

yep exactly like Vince said. If you put these fresh cut mushrooms right on some pebbles/rubble they will quickly attach (in very low flow area of tank), this will make them easier to trade with people then would be floater (unattached) mushrooms. You should also give them some time before trading as sometimes they do not make it, but as long as you use a very sharp blade at the very base it should be fine. They are pretty hardy.
