That copper will leach out of the silicone of my old 55 gallon tank if i plumb it to my 75 gallon reef? Ive used ich meds for two of my salvinis when i first bought them about a year ago but only a few times. Has anyone used a former FW tank that copper was used in for a reef tank? let me know what you think.

Any detectable level of copper is death for a reef tank.  To be safe, I'd fill your Cu treated tank with water, let it sit with maybe 1 powerhead in it for a week, then test for Cu level.  If you get any, then don't use that tank.

I would say that the caution might well be worth it.  And, for what a 55 costs to buy, I would think it not to be worth the risk in any case.
