Skimmer Pump

ive got an vertex in80 and i need a new pump for it...it doesn't turn on every time i plug it in, and sometimes when i remove the cup and put it back in, it runs weird until fiddle around with it again.

i was under the assumption that since im not messing arround with the intakes and all that i would just be able to plug it in after cleaning the cup and it would run how it used to.... but it doesn't. i go through a battle everytime i clean the cup and its making me mad and not want a skimmer. but i would rather run one

The place you got it from will get you a new pump.You have the first generation.The impellers on some of them were faulty after awhile.

It vibrates for a bit.Am I right?
