I picked a up tronic submersable 50 watt @ Superpet Merivale  for less than $20.00 last week, don`t know it is still on sale  or Wal mart sells the same brand that comes with the top fin kits ,50 watts for about $14.00 i think & they worked great for me .

The $19.97 deal for the Fluval Tronic 50w heaters was a sale... I might wait, personally, to see if anything is on sale this coming weekend in the new SP flyer.

Jim

how do i recive the SP flyer?
Thanks

I think it comes in the Citizen - not sure. But if you visit the store they'll have it there.

Hey there Jim:

You might just simply wait till a sale at what ever store may come along.

Another suggestion is to visit around various smaller older petstores, that are still stocking older models of various fish supplies,  to eventually make room for the newer models and newer packaging the companies have changed to.

I know up till about a week ago when visiting a friend of mine who's also a manager at the merivale petsmart, They had a huge pile of fish supplies from filters /Air pumps /to assorted heaters of all kinds and makes.

They were all reduce for sale to make room for the newer models and makes the companys changed over to.

If not Jim let me know or PM me,  I know some stores/contacts for fish supplies on the Hull side that can fix you up for what you can afford.

I got a 50w "Thermal Compact" for like 50% off at PM Merivale. They had a bunch to clearout. They were certianly not the worst on the market. I have a 200w one in my mbuna tank and the 50w in my goby BW setup.

That was a couple of weeks ago though.

Alright thanks i guess i'll just keep my eye's open.
