I recently bought some neodymium magnets.
They are not epoxy coated.
What could I use to coat them, where can I buy it?

Benja

Common?  Someone has to know something!

I've heard of a dip you can get at home depot. Used to recoat tool handles. Not sure what it's called. Sorry

I am not sure about this handle coating, Canadian Tire sells the same stuff as Home Hardware. Personnaly i would not use this type of coating in the fish tank, It will detoriate after a while. I would more recommend an Epoxy coated paint instead.

I got a can of plasti-dip from home hardware.
I bought the dipping can... waste of $20.
Good for dipping handles... too viscous for magnets(just end up with a big glob)

I hear the spray can stuff works better - I might try that next.

or

I might thin out the stuff I already have.

I have tried it with varasol... but it stinks really bad(even after it has cured)
I might try it with methyl hydrate.

What are the dimensions of the magnets you purchased?
How much did they cost?
Where did you get them?

Thx.
