OVAS election rules/format

For those who will be at the meeting on the 31st we will be conducting the elections for the 2010/2011 Executive positions as follows:

1.  Ballots will be provided that contain the names of the people who have signaled their intentions of running for a position in the Election thread...  http://ovas.ca/index.php?topic=43856.0

2.  We will be going through each position asking if there are any further nominations.  Nominations at the meeting will be written on the ballots by hand.

3.  After offering up each position, if there are any positions that are being contested by more than 1 person, any OVAS club members who wish to vote can do so by making their choice on their ballot.

4.  The ballots will be collected, counted and the results announced.

5.  Even though it is possible to hold more than 1 position, for the 1st run through a person can only be on the ballot for 1 position.

6.  If there are vacant positions after the first go through, we will ask if anyone wishes to offer up for these positions.

Please note that only OVAS members can vote in the elections.  We will have a list of paid members at the meeting, however please bring your card just in case there is any discrepancy.

Reminder: the club Executive elections are being held tomorrow at the meeting. 

Tentatively we have the election happening during the first part of the meeting, so don't be late!
