Hi there, just wondering if any of you had good success using the black-out method against a nasty hair algae bloom (very fine and dense flowing green hair, some of it over 3").  I've seen it work for BGA, but never tried it for this type of algae.

Thanks!

BigDaddy

I've only ever used blackouts on green water and BGA.

I never get hair algae because my SAE's mow it down before it every gets a real foothold.

I guess I shouldn't have given mine away before moving!  I just got a bunch of oto cats and some caridina shrimp, but they seem to prefer munching at the shorter green fuzz than mowing the tall grass.
