Ottawa tap water

Does anyone know what the parameters of Ottawa tap water are? Is the water soft or hard? Lots of minerals or not? What needs to be added/removed for the success of a fresh water planted tank? For shrimp to thrive?

The reports are average over the year, but very comprehensive and I bet more accurate than we can test.
All you need to know is which water treatment plant serves your area. Unfortunately, there is no map that would show that (or I didn't find it).
