i got ripped off by someone selling things in the classifieds a few days ago and was told by the seller that's too bad. so i decided to start a topic in the classified warning other members. that's when i discovered i can no longer post in the classifieds without paying $20 bucks first. so first i lost $75 and now i'd have to pay more just to warn people to be cautious dealing with this member. that's a real shame. i've had lot's of good dealings with people on the site, and if someone else had posted a warning about this guy, i could have saved my money. now most likely someone else will be ripped off and i could have prevented it but there's nothing i can do, aside from paying $20.

Why does it seem sometimes trying to do the right thing ends up costing more or putting us way out of our way.           Just doesn't seem right when the  wrong way is the easiest way...........no wonder human nature has gone down hill.

Posting a complaint about another member is not permitted and would likely result in the post being removed and here's why:

Suppose I advertise a Regal Blue Tang for sale that is perfectly healthy, never had a problem with it. You buy it from me and stick it in your tank along with another Blue Tang. This causes a great deal of stress on both fish and they develop ich from it. Who's at fault? Did my fish give yours ich or did yours give mine ich.

The likelihood is both had it dormant and the stress caused it to reemerge (happens all of the time). You want your money back and I say "sorry but my fish was healthy when I sold it to you". You decide to post a complaint against me.

I'm not saying that your complaint isn't without merit but who is to decide. Even if both sides of the story were presented it may not be clear cut.

If you have a general warning about a type of transaction, try pm'ing the moderator and ask where you can post it.

I was walking down the street and a man was hammering on a roof top and he called me a Paranoid Little Weirdo. . . in morse code.

Good solid advice focused Finns...

Let's delete this thread and take it to the moderators and club executive.   If a member is behaving badly, there is a system for that.
