I have a 5 gal hex eclipse system and am a bit of a loss on what to do with it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I was thinking about a betta - but previous bettas I've kept in there haven't done exceedingly well for whatever reason. My dad was using the tank for white clouds for a bit but decided to add those to his community tank instead (thus giving me my tank back!)...

I was also thinking about maybe doing some shrimp of some type? But am not too sure how much I'd like that.

Suggestions welcome! THANKS!  :D

Salt water is too high maitenance for me. I don't think I have the time or dedication to do a salt water set-up. Plus I don't believe that it can be that cheap/easy, lol.

HOWEVER. If it is I'll seriously consider it for this 5 gallon. I mean - why not try something new? I'm sure I could buy sand and rock off of people on here to get started.

I'm actually into the idea a little bit. It'd definitely be a nice addition to my desk for when I'm back in school. (Already got a nice view of my planted tank!)
