Thought I'd post a pic of my 38gal set-up, now that it's more or less complete. It's my new 'main tank' since I've downgraded and switched stuff about. I wanted a nice community tank. It sits across the room from my desk - ie: when I look up from my comp or whatever book I'm reading I see it. It's my 'calm' amongst the storms of studying I'll be engaging in.

Some specs...

Inhabitants include: Female bettas (small right now, but plans to breed them to males I have), Rummynose tetras, Cardinal tetras, Clown loaches (who'll get too big, I know), German rams (I think they're actually a pair! :D )... The only thing I might add is some type of algae eater - either some otos or a couple of SAEs.

Plants include: Anubias (nana and giant), java fern, crypt, java moss, some type of grass I forget the name of, a sword, and the weird crinkly plant with the long strands that I don't know the name of.

Technical stuff: Filtration includes Aquaclear 200 & Fluval 404 (I know! I'm a nut with filtration!); Heating is Fluval-Tronic 150w; Gravel is Geosystems black; lighting is 55w compact fluorescent; Driftwood is Geosystems malaysian driftwood.

And I think that's it! Just wanted to show it off since I'm so proud of it.

Haha, yeah, I wonder, huh Cory? Good trade imo though. I did however put different lighting on it.

Thanks for the compliments folks... It's my new piece of serenity. I imagine I'll be caught staring at it quite often when I should be doing hundreds of pages of reading for school... (Just spent another $300 on books today. :( )
