Is that ICH?

I need help identifying what's on my Gramma.  It had a bunch of white spots earlier this week, that have for the most part disappeared since.  I've read a lot about ICH, and am aware that if the white spots were indeed ICH, they will be back in force later.  (And yes, I know it's my fault for not having quarantined the new fish... live and learn).

I am getting ready to make a water change in my main tank, so if it is ICH, I'll move the fish to an hospital tank (started with the water change "waste" water) and treat them there.

Can anyone help identify what is on its pectoral fins?  It's a white spot, but much bigger than the other white spots it had on the rest of its body.  Sorry for the pic quality, I still haven't mastered this art!

How new is this fish?
Not sure about fin spots, but I've
seen air bubbles trapped in
new fish body "slime" from bagging and
transport etc. that dissapear in a few days.

Thanks for your answer.

The fish is 7 days old today.  It doesn't look like an air bubble, it's definitely opaque white, and looks "fleshy".

looks like it is on top of the fin it could be some type of fungas i have had ick outbreaks in my 75 gallon simply get something called "quick cure" 1 drop per gallon. its in a small dropper and pretty cheap and will cure ick within 2 days make sure when treating any fish to remove any carbon in your filtration system.

since i cant see it clearly is the white spot slightly stringy almost like a white "moss" on the fin if you see lil strands it is most likely a fungal infection and can be pretty easily treated and will clear up quickly with maracyn plus antibacteria. best to move him to a quarantine tank though for this for sure as treating a large tank with maracyn can cost 30$+ and get expensive.

I don't know if this works the same for salt as it does for fresh, I used to slowly raise the temp of the tank, about 1-2 degrees a day till about 80-82 degrees, and this would kill the ich in a few days, prob with ich, is that is always present, but can be controlled

Look up. ;)
There is a sticky from Hookup on Marine Ich

;D ;D ;D
Well worth the read and educational too, if your problem is really Ich

Doesn't work in a Marine environment - read the sticky

Moot point as of now... 3 out of 5 fish died today... and the remaining 2 are looking like they won't make it until tomorrow...

(And I did read the sticky!)

F#!* my Life...

A bottle of wine and some strong liquor later, I'm not feeling any better.  At least the corals are fine.

Sorry to hear about your losses :'(
It's never easy.
There is a reason to have a QT tank for both salt and fresh.
Live and learn - too bad learning in the SW environment is soooo expensive.$$$$$

Hope things get better, and you find solace and answers at the bottom of the bottle.
Best of luck

Trust me... I'll be setting one up before buying any more fish.  I, like so many other noobs, thought I could cut corners...  Live and learn...

I feel so much worse about 3 (potentially 5) fish dying than about the 150$ they are worth.  All because I thought rules didn't apply to me...

Nah... as Homer says (in maybe not such exact words)... Booze... The solution to... and cause of... all life's problems.

Starting from scratch (again) tomorrow.
